Dr Tina Zafari

Dr Tina Zafari (she/her) is a GP Registrar who blends cutting-edge science with warm, personalised care, helping patients feel heard, informed, and empowered. With an MD, MPH, and PhD, she brings broad clinical experience across women’s and men’s health, musculoskeletal conditions, chronic disease management, and preventive care.

She has worked in both public and private hospitals across Victoria, including Epworth, Eastern Health, and Northern Health. As the developer of RenoTrue® —an AI tool that improves kidney assessments in people with diabetes—during her PhD at the University of Melbourne, Tina integrates innovation into everyday general practice.

She believes great medicine starts with listening, and partners with her patients to make confident, informed choices. Outside of work, Tina enjoys playing badminton and rock climbing, and encourages movement as a key part of healthy living.
