Fees

The doctors at Campaspe Family Practice privately bill. GP consultation fees are payable in full at the time of consultation by cash, EFTPOS, or credit card. Accounts not paid in full on the day incur an additional administration fee of $10.00. Accounts not paid within 30 days will incur a $40.00 penalty fee. Consultation fees are charged depending on a number of factors, including length of consultation and complexity of services provided.

If you have a Medicare Card, Medicare will refund you a proportion of your appointment fee (Medicare rebate), and the remaining amount will be your out-of-pocket cost. Medicare rebates are available for most medical services and can be deposited into your savings or cheque account at the time of payment if you have a savings or cheque card with you. Alternatively, your Medicare rebate will be transmitted directly to Medicare, where the rebate will be reimbursed to your nominated bank.

Doctors will bulk bill their patients who are:

  • 15 years of age and younger;

  • pension and concession cardholders; and

  • CFA and SES volunteers for standard consultations.

Doctors will also bulk bill the following appointment types:

  • GP management plan and team care arrangements; and

  • Applicable Health Assessments (please see table on next page)

Doctors charge an out-of-pocket fee for any surgical/specialist procedures and the cost will vary depending on the type of procedure and complexity. Please ask reception or your doctor about fees before any procedures. Please note, GP fees for surgical/specialist procedures are different to standard consultation fees, even if your usual GP performs the surgical/specialist procedure. In addition to GP consultation fees, a materials fee will be charged for all dressings, materials used in procedures, contraceptives, and certain vaccines.

If you do not meet the criteria for bulk billing, but you are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact Leanne Gamble on lgamble@campaspefp.com.au or 03 5422 2877 prior to an appointment to discuss your circumstances.

FotoFInder is a computerised mole mapping system that creates an accurate set of photos of your pigmented moles. The high-resolution camera is connected to a computer and transfers all photos directly to a database, giving your doctor the ability to compare your moles with photos from your previous visits, and immediately identify new moles or changes to existing moles on your body.
