Health checks to do at home

There are regular checks you can do at home to pick up potential problems early:

  • skin checks – look over your skin regularly for unusual moles or freckles or changes in the size, colour or shape of spots and see your GP if you notice any changes. If you spend a lot of time outdoors for work or leisure consider having an annual skin check with your doctor or dermatologist.

  • testicular examinations – check your testicles regularly for unusual lumps or thickenings and see your doctor if you notice anything unusual. An undescended testicle is a risk factor for testicular cancer.
